Welcome Baby Card

This card was made for friends on the birth of their son. Firstly I stamped a Neat & Tangled Sunburst in Hero Arts Soft Vanilla ink. The kangaroo image from the Critters Down Under stamp set from Lawn Fawn was stamped using Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I then coloured it using Spectrum Noir blendable pencils and blended with paper stubs and blending fluid. I created a faux-bokeh appearance using circle stamps from various stamp sets in my stash and Papermania gold embossing powder. I then added sequins and completed the card with  Stampin' Up gold bakers twine.

Baby Shower Card

This is my first ever shaker card and I really enjoyed making it for my friend on her baby shower. The patterned paper is from the Studio Calico Atlantic 6x6 paper pad. The stork and sentiment are from the Plus One stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I used Stampin' Up Smoky Slate ink instead of my usual black as I thought it created a softer look, inkeeping with the design. I coloured the stork image with Stampin' Up markers in Crushed Curry and Pool Party. The sequins are a selection from my stash. My one disappointment in this card is that I used vellum which was not pure white and I think this spoiled the overall effect.

Hoppy Easter Card

I made this card for my Vicar at Easter. The design is inspired by one of Laura Sterckx's cards - I'm addicted to watching her Saturday Stamp Day videos on YouTube! I used the Mama Elephant stamp set, Honey Bunny. I love the cute images and sentiments in this set. I used a small piece of patterned paper from the Basic Grey Fresh Cut 6x6 pad - this is my most favourite collection at the moment. The brightly coloured watercolour florals are bang on-trend and the perfect colours for spring and summer cards. I overlayed the paper with vellum to tone-down the colour and allow the bunny image to stand out. I crumpled it to add texture and added sequins from my stash for extra interest and sparkle. Finally I stamped a sentiment, also from the Honey Bunny stamp set, in Versamark ink and heat embossed Papermania gold embossing powder over the top. I also made some coordinating pillow boxes containing chocolate gifts for some friends, but sadly I forgot to take a picture of them before I gave them away.
