Sending Warm Wishes Card

Hello everyone,

I decided to try another CAS design this week, which I'm entering into the Casology Festive Challenge and the CAS on Sunday Ribbon and Twine Challenge. I used a simple colour scheme, washi tape and a subtley textured white background to create my design. Please let me know what you think in the comments box below.

Firstly I die cut a rectangle of Simon Says Stamp Woodgrain Cardstock with one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Dies. I mounted this onto a white A2 cardbase. I created the background for my design using red woodgrain washi from Freckled Fawn, as well as three others from m stamp. Next I stamped the mitten images from the Wplus9 Winter Wishes stamp set onto Neenah Solar White Cardstock using Papaya pigment ink from Avery Elle. I fussy cut the mittens and adhered them to the card with foam squares for dimension. I added Peppermint twine from Lawn Fawn and a sentiment, also from the Winter Wishes set. I completed my design with several enamel dots from Freckled Fawn.

You're My Dreamboat Card

Hi Guys,

Long time no see! I decided to try a new challenge this week and I opted for the Casology Sea Challenge. I live by the sea and some of my favourite creations have had a nautical theme. I had hoped to try making some more Christmas cards but, as usual, I'm avoiding what needs to be done, and I've gone for a valentines/anniversary card instead. Oh well...I'll get to the Christmas cards eventually - enjoy!

I used paper from the 6x6 Let's Polka paper pad from Lawn Fawn. I die cut the wave-shaped edge using a Mama Elephant die and used one of the Landscape Trio dies, also from ME, to create the insert. Next I made an origami sail boat from a peice of music manuscript. I added inlaid die cut hearts using a Simon Says Stamp die and dreamy cloads cut from vellum using a Paper Smooches die. The sentiment was stamped using a mini alphabet stamp from a local stationary store. I adhered my design to a crisp white cardstock base made with Neenah 110lb cardstock, to frame it.

Here's close-up of my origami sail boat and inlaid hearts:

Read Me Tag

Hi guys,

So I have something a little different to show you this time. I made a bookmark tag for the AEIHeartU Tags Challenge using the Avery Elle Alice & Friends Stamp set. Hope you like it!

I started by die cutting a peice of white card stock and a peice of patterned paper, from the Pebbles Garden Party 6x6 paper pad, using one of the Paper Smooches book mark dies. I adhered these together. I stamped the white rabbit and Alice designs from the Avery Elle Alice and Friends stamp set onto a variety of patterned paper, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then fussy cut each of the layers and paper peiced them. I added rosy cheeks with Spectrum Noir markers. I also used the scrolled banner and letters from the stamp set to create my 'Read Me' sentiment. I stamped this using Versafine in and fussy cut the image.

Next I created bunting using pink bakers twine and more patterened paper from the Garden Party paper pad, punched using my Stampin' Up banner punch. I added more twine and and ribbon to the top of the tag. I completed my tag with Aquamarine, Pink Blush and Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

You're Sweet Card

Hi Guys,

I just love this cute penguin stamp and I love when I get to use it for a card. I created this card for the Make the Day Special Try a Technique challenge. I used an emboss resist technique on the lower portion of my card which I haven't tried before. It was fun and I like the effect. Let me know what you think - your comments are always very much appreciated xx

I started off with a peice of 110lb Neenah Solar white cardstock which I trimmed to A2 size. Next I die cut a peice of watercolour cardstock into a scalloped rectangle using one of the Femme Frames dies from Mama Elephant. I used the chevron stamp from the Lawn Fawn Interlocking Backdrops and Papermania clear embossing powder to heat emboss a design onto the lower part of my card. Next I used Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed distress inks to created a soft blended background.

I used washi tape and some patterend paper die cut with a scalloped border from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped borders die set to divide the upper and lower parts of my design. i aslo overlayed a peice of pink bakers twine.

Next I stamped one of the penguins from the Mame Elephant Love Quotes stamp set onto Neenah cardstock, using Hero Arts Charcoal Ink. I also stamped a lollipop image from the Lawn Fawn Cozy Christmas Stamp set in the same way. I coloured the images with Spectrum Noir markers, fussy cut them and adehered them to my card with foam squares. I aldo die cut cloud shapes from vellum using the couds dies from Paper Smooches to create a dreamy look.

I completed my card by adding ribbon from my stash, Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and enamel dots from freckled Fawn.
